OUR STORY

Frankie was born in Boston.

Zach was born in New Orleans. 

They were happy, if not needy, children.

At first frankie was obsessed with horses. Then A horse stepped on her face when she was 10. Soon after she picked up basketball.

Zach tried karate. then his pants fell down during his yellow belt certification. Soon after he picked up basketball too.

they both played in the maccabi games even though frankie was only a half jew. Zach had his barmitzvah at dave and buster's. they both loved movies. his favorite movie was deer hunter. hers was spaceballs. 

frankie went to college in new york city. so too did zach. she studied english lit. he studied film. these were the blue years. 

frankie got pregnant - oops - and moved to la to pursue an acting career. zach moved to la to pursue a directing career. they had chutspa.

one day, december 10, 2011, zach and frankie were sitting on opposite sides of casbah cafe in silverlake. They looked at each other and waved.

they started dating in april of the following year after running into each other at the moth grand slam in echo park. 

they dated for exactly one year until zach broke things off due to a brief existential crises. 6 months later, august 9, 2013,  they ran into each other at forage restaurant. As a result of zach's work in attachment theory, and frankie not being poor anymore, they got back together. 

approximately two years and two months into zach & frankie part 2, zach proposed on A beautiful fall morning following their 7 mile run in griffith park. isaac, wearing a tuxedo t-shirt, was hiding behind a tree with the ring.
